An 82-year-old man was killed in a Hicksville motor vehicle crash Friday, Nassau police said.
The accident occurred about 9:20 a.m. just north of Route 107 and Newbridge Road, shutting down southbound Route 107 until about 2 p.m., police said.
The victim's identity and other details were not immediately released.
The accident site is near where routes 106 and 107 split and a few blocks south of where an 81-year-old woman was ejected and killed last month when her car hit a tractor trailer.
In that March 7 accident, the woman was driving a 2001 Toyota east on Princess Street when the car sped up and crossed into the southbound lanes of Route 107, also known as North Broadway.
Her car continued over the center median into northbound traffic, hitting a 2014 Ford Focus driven by a man, 31, police said.
The Toyota ricocheted into a tractor trailer, and the woman was thrown from her car on impact, according to police.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. No other injuries were reported.
