A Queens man with several gunshot wounds was found dead inside a car just before midnight Monday in Valley Stream, Nassau police said Tuesday.

Richard Baccus, 50, of Rosedale, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was discovered about 11:55 p.m. inside a black, 2004 BMW 525 parked in the lot next to the Ay Caramba restaurant on West Merrick Road, police said.

Authorities were notified when a 911 call was sent to New York City operators, who then referred the call to Nassau police, a Nassau police spokesman said.

Calls to Baccus' family were not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
