Cops: Man robs jogger at gunpoint in Franklin Square

Nassau police are looking for the man who robbed a jogger at gunpoint in Franklin Square late Wednesday night.

Detectives said that the victim, a 21-year-old man, was jogging on Madison Avenue when the robber drove past in an older model Honda Civic and got out on the pretense of asking for directions.

As the victim gave them, the robber pointed a black handgun at him, took his wallet and pushed his head into a telephone pole.

The robber drove away north on Madison Avenue. Police described him as 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.
