A Uniondale man was arrested Monday night, charged with stealing "multiple cases" of liquor and beer, as well as cash, from a local bar, police said.

Niles Thompson, 26, of 338 Hawthorne Ave., was arrested at his house at 11:45 p.m. and charged with three counts of third-degree burglary.

Nassau County police said Thompson entered the Classico Bar, on nearby Jerusalem Avenue in Uniondale, through its cellar doors on Sept. 5. Thompson then removed the liquor, cash and a hand truck, police said.

Police said that, after an investigation, Thompson was identified through surveillance video. He is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
