Twice in a half-hour police said the same masked man robbed two convenience stores Wednesday -- the first in Merrick, the second in Baldwin.

Nassau County police said detectives are still searching for the man, who they said robbed the Fast Break convenience store on Merrick Avenue at 1:30 a.m. and then robbed a 7-Eleven on Atlantic Avenue at 1:59 a.m. In both cases, police said, the robber wore a black ski mask and displayed a handgun.

It was not immediately clear how much money was taken in either robbery. Police said no one was hurt in either case.
