A masked man with a handgun robbed a Carle Place uniform store of cash Monday morning, also taking the store manager's credit cards and wedding and engagement rings, Nassau County police said.

A man in his 30s of medium build entered Life Uniforms, 249 Old Country Rd., at 10:25 a.m., pointed a handgun at the manager and demanded she open the cash register, police said.

After putting an undisclosed amount of cash in a blue pillowcase, he took credit cards and personal papers from the manager's wallet, and forced her into a back room where he handcuffed her and took her rings, police said.

The woman "sustained minor contusions to her wrists," police said.
