Fourth Squad detectives are looking for two gun-wielding masked men who robbed a Barnum Island residence late Wednesday, injuring one of the occupants when a gun discharged.

Nassau County police said the two armed men wearing ski masks entered an Industrial Place home at about 10:15 p.m.

They tied up the two occupants -- a man, 52, and woman, 46 -- and demanded money and jewelry, police said.

One of the suspects discharged his weapon, "causing a laceration to the male victim's leg," police said.

The two suspects then left in the man's vehicle, taking an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry.

Police later found the man's vehicle on Broadway, "a short distance from the incident location," according to a news release.

The suspects were last seen on foot heading north on Audubon Boulevard.

The man was treated at the scene for his injuries; the woman had no reported injuries, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
