Nassau police are looking for a man who they said robbed a Payless ShoeSource in Oceanside Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a 40-year-old woman was working as a cashier at the Payless on Long Beach Road when she was approached about 3:10 p.m. by a 5-foot, 5-inch tall man with a blond mustache described as being between 30 and 40 years old. Police said the man had one hand hidden in a plastic bag, which they said might have contained a weapon.

The suspect told the cashier to open the register and give him the cash inside -- she complied, and he fled on foot southbound on Long Beach Road with an unknown amount of money. No injuries were reported, police said.
