Nassau County police are searching for two armed assailants who, wearing bandannas that covered their faces, robbed a Hicksville Metro PCS store in broad daylight Monday.

The robbery took place at 1:30 p.m. at the store on Broadway, police said. A 55-year-old male employee was uninjured.

Police said the robbers entered the store and, after one flashed a black semiautomatic handgun, demanded cash.

The victim was ordered to lay on the floor while one of the robbers rifled the register. The two then fled.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
