Cops: pedestrian struck by vehicle in Hicksville

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Hicksville, where a main artery remains partially shut down into the night as officers investigate, Nassau police said.

The accident happened about 4:20 p.m. on North Broadway near Newbridge Road, where Routes 106 and 107 split, police said.

North Broadway was closed in both directions until shortly before 8 p.m., when the northbound lanes reopened, police said.
