Cops probe vandalized menorah as bias incident

Nassau police detectives are investigating a bias incident involving a large menorah that was knocked down in front of a Manhasset temple during the weekend, police said.

The menorah at Temple Judea, 333 Searingtown Rd., "was damaged after being intentionally knocked over," sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday, police said in a news release Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
