The suspect who accosted two women in the garages of their homes in Woodmere in recent weeks, stealing jewelry, including a diamond ring, a Tiffany ring and a wedding ring, drove a gray four-door Toyota Corolla with a roof antenna and spoiler on the trunk, Nassau County police said.

Police released a photo of the getaway vehicle Friday, asking anyone with information about the car or its owner to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. All calls will remain confidential, police said.

Police said the first burglary occurred at 2:12 p.m. on Aug. 22, when a 69-year-old woman was accosted and robbed as she entered her garage on Forest Avenue. The second burglary took place on Tuesday at 2:14 p.m., when a 74-year-old woman was robbed as she entered the garage at her home on Longacre Avenue.

Neither of the women was hurt.

Police described the two incidents as burglaries because the suspect accosted the women in their garages.

Police said among the items stolen in the burglaries were: a gold Tiffany style pear-shaped ring; a Celtic weave bracelet; a wedding ring; and, a diamond ring. It was not immediately clear which items were stolen in which incident.
