Cops: Rob victim tails suspect, calls 911
Police said two Roosevelt men were arrested and charged in an armed robbery Monday after being followed home by their victim, who then called 911.
George Goode, 19, and Kareem Thompson, 19, both of 262 St. Francis St., were arrested at the residence.
Nassau County police said Goode is suspected of robbing the victim, 21, at gunpoint and taking $200 in cash about 11:30 a.m. outside a house on East Fulton Avenue. Police said the victim then followed Goode home -- and called 911. Uniformed officers took both Goode and Thompson into custody.
Goode was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, while Thompson was arrested on charges of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Both were charged after an investigation by First Squad and Robbery Squad detectives.
