A disgruntled patron got a gun and fired shots into the ceiling of a bar in Valley Stream early Friday, police said.

No one was injured.

Nassau County police said they recovered evidence from the scene and said officers are searching for the suspect -- and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

The shooting occurred at the Liquid Bar & Lounge on North Central Avenue at 2:43 a.m.

Police said the suspect, described as an unknown male who wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and whose hair was in cornrows, became "disgruntled" and left out a back door of the bar -- only to return a short time later with "a dark pistol." The man then fired multiple shots inside the bar, police said, before fleeing.

Three 9-millimeter shells casings were recovered.

Additional information was not immediately available.
