Cops seek trio in Freeport gas station robbery
The search is on for three men who, armed with a silver handgun, robbed a Sunoco gas station on Atlantic Avenue in Freeport Sunday evening.
Nassau County police said two of the robbers fled south on South Long Beach Avenue in a dark colored Jeep Cherokee, while the third man fled on foot.
No patrons were in the gas station mart at the time and no one was hurt, police said.
