A Hempstead teen was arrested early Tuesday and charged with the armed robbery of another teen last month in Hempstead, police said.

Two accomplices are still being sought, police said.

Nassau County police said Robin D. Ellis, 17, of 316 Baldwin Rd., surrendered to Third Squad detectives in Williston Park at 1:05 a.m. on charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm. He faces arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said that Ellis and two unidentified males forced the 18-year-old victim to the side of a home on Brown Avenue in Hempstead at gunpoint on Sept. 12, taking his car keys, wallet and iPhone.

The trio then fled in the victim's 1999 BMW.

Hempstead police were notified and recovered the car a short time later on Weir Street, police said. There were no reported injuries in the incident.
