A 16-year-old boy, walking along a main road in Oceanside, had his cellphone stolen by gun-toting robbers in a car Thursday evening, police said.

The boy was not injured, Nassau County police said.

The robbery took place on Oceanside Road at 9:30 p.m.

Police said the two suspects were in a late-model silver Nissan Sentra and that one man flashed a gun and asked the boy what was in a bag he was carrying. The second robber flashed a knife -- then stole the phone from inside the bag.
