Cops: Two masked females tried to rob Dollar Tree worker

Two masked females tried to rob a Dollar Tree employee as he was closing the Massapequa store Sunday night, Nassau police said.

They approached him from the parking lot at 5520 Sunrise Hwy. shortly after 8 p.m. and demanded money, police said.

The employee, 60, struggled with them briefly, police said, and the two assailants ran away without getting anything.

No injuries were reported, police said. No other details were released.
