Two Uniondale men tried to evade arrest Thursday for gun possession by running into an apartment and hiding the weapon, but police brought in a search dog and located the gun, Nassau police said.
A call came in to the First Precinct at 5:25 p.m. reporting a man with a gun standing in the driveway of a Hawthorne Avenue home.
