Cops: Woman robs Oceanside clothing store

Nassau police are looking for a woman who they said robbed a clothing store in Oceanside on Thursday evening.

According to police, a 5-foot- 8-inch tall woman with a thin build and straight black hair in a pony tail walked into a Nine West at 3563 Long Beach Rd. shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday. She put her hand in her pocket and presented a demand note to an employee, and told the worker to give her money from the cash register, police said.

The employee complied and the suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. She fled in an unknown direction.

Police said there were no injuries in the incident.
