Deceased jogger identified as EMT from Westbury
A jogger who collapsed while running along the Wantagh Parkway and later died has been identified as a Westbury man who was an emergency medical technician, state police said Wednesday. Benjamin E. Vonpentz Jr., 54, was found by a passing motorist Sunday evening on the southbound side of the parkway's walking trail, south of Old Country Road in Hicksville, police said.
