DOT: Damaged bridge OK for morning commute
The damage done to a Wantagh State Parkway overpass should not affect Monday's commute, officials said Sunday.
Bridge crews cleaned the concrete debris from the Southern State Parkway below yesterday and all lanes reopened at 7 a.m., State Police Sgt. John Kastner said. No problems were expected for Monday's commute, he said.
