A traffic stop in Wantagh led to the arrest of two men on drug-possession charges Tuesday afternoon, Nassau County police said.
Christopher V. Bracco, 28, of 648 Nassau Ave., Freeport, and Michael S. Wood, 28, of 397 Wynsum Ave., Merrick, were arrested after the stop on St. Regis Street near Bayview Avenue at 4:45 p.m. and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Both are scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said that Bracco was driving westbound on St. Regis in "a suspicious manner" when he was stopped by officers. During the subsequent investigation, police said officers found both Bracco and Wood were in possession of "a clear container containing Amphetamine and marijuana."
The two were arrested without incident, police said.
