Elmont Dunkin' Donuts robbed

Nassau police said a gunman entered a Dunkin' Donuts in Elmont early Tuesday and stole money from the cash register after demanding it from the shop's 22-year-old employee.

The 12:55 a.m. robbery occurred at 238-19 Linden Blvd., police said. There were no customers in the store at the time and no one was injured.

The subject is described as being between 18 and 25 years old, 6 feet tall, wearing a white sweatsuit with hood and a black mask, and carrying a black handgun.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
