Family of four safely flees burning Levittown home

A sleeping family of four who awoke to find their Levittown home ablaze Wednesday morning safely evacuated the house -- but the structure suffered major fire damage, police and fire officials said.
The fire at the home on Griddle Lane was reported in a 911 call received at 4:55 a.m., Nassau County police said.
