A volunteer firefighter was transported to Nassau University Medical Center Friday with minor burns after being injured in a pre-dawn blaze in North Bellmore, fire officials said.
The firefighter, from the North Bellmore Fire Department, was treated and released, Fire Chief Randy Meierdierks said. No one else was injured in the blaze on Huckleberry Road, Meierdierks said.
