Food police on patrol at the Open
All week, Bethpage State Park has been patrolled by state police, Nassau police and, of course, food police.
Food police? They carry no weapons, just thermometers. They wear no badges, just hats with orange emblems. But they can issue summonses and sure get offenders into a pickle of trouble.
