Nassau County police are still searching for the culprit responsible for a slew of vandalized cars in Mineola, East Hills and Roslyn Heights during the weekend.
The vandalism took place sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and involved damage to 14 vehicles and one house.
Police reported the following damage:
On Roselle Street in Mineola, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz had a shattered windshield, a 2004 Hyundai had a shattered rear window, a 2008 Toyota had a damaged rear door and side mirror on the driver's side, a 2007 Volkswagen had damage, and a 2008 Honda had a damaged windshield.
A 2000 Chevrolet had damage to the windshield and driver's side mirror on Arlington Street in Mineola.
On Westwood Circle in East Hills, a 2008 Toyota had a broken side mirror and a home had an outdoor light fixture broken.
On Schoolhouse Lane in Roslyn Heights, a 2011 BMW had a broken rear window and taillight, and a 2012 Jeep had a broken side mirror.
On Barnyard Lane in Roslyn Heights, a 2010 Honda had dents on the hood and front quarter panel and a broken windshield and side mirror, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz had broken door handles, a shattered windshield and damaged side mirror, and a 2011 Land Rover had a damaged side mirror, while on Shadetree Lane in Roslyn Heights, a 2004 Mercedes-Benz had a broken windshield.
Also in Roslyn Heights, a 2003 Honda on Percheron Lane had a damaged windshield.
Police said the investigation is continuing, and ask anyone with information about this case to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers will be kept anonymous.
