Handprint leads to arrest in Farmingdale burglary

A handprint left at the scene of a burglary of a Farmingdale home last April led to the arrest of a man who was already in custody on other charges, Nassau Second Squad detectives said.

Wilfi Rosario Rodriguez is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead on a second-degree burglary charge after crime scene investigators linked him to a handprint found on the window of a Staples Street home that was burglarized on April 22.

Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip, where he was already being held on other non-related charges.
