The Route 106/107 bridge over the Long Island Expressway will be partially closed for three nights for construction, starting Tuesday, state transportation officials said.
Depending on the work schedule, the closures in Hicksville may affect both southbound and northbound lanes from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. or the travel lanes may be shifted during those hours, officials said. But at least one lane will be open in each direction each night, the state advisory said.
Crews will resurface the deteriorated pavement of the Route 106/107 over the expressway, state transportation officials said. The top layer of worn asphalt will be removed and new asphalt laid down, they said.
