High winds rake Nassau, Suffolk

High winds downed trees and caused scattered power outages Saturday across Long Island as a strong low-pressure system spawned 40-mph to 50-mph gusts.
The low-pressure system, parked off the coast of Maine, caused strong winds to sweep west to northwest across Nassau and Suffolk.
In Northport, Route 25A was closed because of a downed tree, and some traffic signals were not working Saturday...
