A Huntington Station motorist who struck a retaining wall on a ramp of the Long Island Expressway in East Hills was arrested after a test showed she was intoxicated, Nassau County police said.

Genese M. Smith, 33, of 58 W. 19th St., lost control of her 2007 Nissan as she drove eastbound on the LIE at 10:02 p.m. Sunday, police. The vehicle struck the wall of the exit ramp, causing a shoulder injury to a 27-year-old male passenger, whose name was not released.

Smith had a blood-alcohol level of .19 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent, police said. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released on her own recognizance at her arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Smith was not injured and the passenger was treated at a hospital, police said.
