A 17-year-old Queens resident was killed and four others injured Friday night when two speeding cars crashed on the eastbound Northern State Parkway in Old Westbury, sending one vehicle careening into the westbound lanes, State Police said.

Police have identified the victim as Justin McClyment, of Rosedale, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of a BMW when it crashed into a Chevy Malibu shortly after 11 p.m. east of Exit 30, I.U. Willets Road.

The Malibu struck the center median and entered the westbound lanes before coming to rest on its roof, police said.

The driver of the BMW lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on the right shoulder. McClyment was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The BMW's driver and rear seat passenger sustained serious injuries and were taken to Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola.

Both occupants of the Malibu sustained minor injuries and were taken to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.

A State Police spokesman said the two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not considered a factor in the crash, police said.
