A large-screen television was swiped from the altar of a Williston Park church sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to Nassau police.

Third Squad detectives were called out to St. Aidan's Church, 505 Willis Ave., Sunday morning to investigate the burglary after a church worker discovered the missing Samsung television.

Police found the church's rear door had been pried open and said the burglary likely took place between 8:45 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

The value of the television is undetermined. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS (8477).
