Life changing surgery for Ethiopian girl

A massive tumor that Aster Degaro, a 13-year-old

Surgeons at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park removed an large tumor from the neck of 13-year-old Aster Degaro on Sept. 11, New Year's Day in her Ethiopian Village. Her trip from Africa was sponsored by the Little Baby Face Foundation and the surgery will allow her to begin a normal life, which includes attending school.
