Long Beach Branch service on the Long Island Rail Road was restored at about 12:15 p.m. after having been suspended briefly because of bridge trouble, railroad officials said.

One train was canceled as a result of the problem on the bridge connecting Island Park to Long Beach. Another train terminated in Island Park, officials said.
