LIRR train from Babylon collides with empty train
A westbound Long Island Rail Road train from Babylon with more than 200 passengers on board collided with an empty passenger train Friday night near Long Island City.
There were no reported injuries, an LIRR spokesman said.
The 8:10 p.m. train due at Penn Station at 9:45 p.m. was west of the Woodside station near the entrance to the Manhattan tunnel when the incident occurred.
