An Elmont pizza shop was robbed Wednesday night of an undisclosed amount of cash -- and the cash register drawer that held the money -- by a man armed with a large kitchen knife, Nassau police said.

A thin man who was described as 6 feet, 3 inches tall and wearing a black hoodie and black mask used the knife to rob a female employee of the Little Caesar's Pizza at 237-05 Linden Blvd., Robbery Squad detectives said.

The man fled from the restaurant on foot with the cash register drawer and money.
