Long Island Rabbit Breeders hold show in Old Bethpage
Just weeks after Nassau County contemplated the closure of Old Bethpage Village Restoration, the 19th-century living history museum kicked off its 2009 season Saturday with a harbinger of spring: the Long Island Rabbit Breeders Association Show.
Big, small, black, white, brown, spotted and striped: Hundreds of rabbits lined up - some to be seen, others to be sold and many to be judged.
