Long Islanders get in on the 2009 gold rush

An attractive group of casually dressed women milled around Cheryl Peter's Syosset kitchen. Wine bottles and a platter of hors d'oeuvres graced the granite countertop. It could have been any suburban gathering, but this one had a timely twist. Call it an upscale updated version of the Tupperware party.
