A Hempstead man who police said was caught burglarizing a Uniondale home on Friday was also found in possession of electronics that were stolen from a nearby home earlier in the day, Nassau County police said.
Malique Wilson, 21, of Remsen Avenue, was arrested shortly before noon while climbing out the first-floor window of a home on Chester Street while carrying stolen property, police said.
A 14-year-old girl who lived in the home had called police when she heard noises coming from inside the residence, police said.
Wilson was also found in possession of an iPod, which detectives said was stolen earlier in the day from a home on Southern Boulevard in Uniondale. The suspect was also found with four envelopes of heroin in his pants pocket along with a screw driver, police said.
Wilson faces two counts of second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
