A Levittown man was arrested on Sunday after a break-in at an elderly neighbor's house in which her iPad was stolen, Nassau police said.

The 81-year-old woman had returned to her Levittown home at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday to find her glass back door broken. She then discovered that her iPad was missing and contacted police.

Police investigated and arrested Julian T. Lauria, 28, of 165 Elm Dr. East, charging him with second-degree burglary.

Nassau County police said Lauria is also facing petty larceny charges in the theft of items from a 7-Eleven store in East Meadow on April 11 and 12.

Lauria was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
