Nassau police said they are looking for a man who fired two shots inside a Baldwin convenience store during a robbery early Thursday morning.

Detectives said a man wearing a gray pullover, black knit hat, jeans, brown boots and a light-colored scarf walked into the 7-Eleven at 2099 Grand Ave. at 6:15 a.m. armed with a handgun, and fired one round into the ceiling. He demanded the clerk open the cash register, police said, and he removed an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk was unable to open a second cash register, and the robber fired another round into that register, police said. He then fled on foot east on Miller Place, police said.
