Man robbed in Westbury by 2 in a car, say cops

A 39-year-old man was robbed of his wallet and cellphone in Westbury Saturday, Nassau police said Sunday.

The victim was standing on School Street near Railroad Avenue about 12:35 a.m. when two suspects -- an unidentified man and woman -- got out of a red, four-door sedan with out-of-state license plates and asked the victim for directions, police said.

The male suspect then reached into the victim's pants pocket and took his wallet and cellphone, police said, netting an undisclosed amount of cash. The two suspects fled in their car, police said. No injuries were reported.
