Man steals cash, chalice from Island Park church
A thief burglarized an Island Park church and stole an antique silver chalice and cash donations from poor boxes, Nassau County police said Saturday.
To pull off the heist Friday at about 10:40 p.m., the thief broke a rear window of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 282 Long Beach Rd., police said.
