Mangano, other GOP candidates lead in Nassau recount

The Nassau County ballot count resumed Thursday morning with the Republican candidate for county executive, Edward Mangano, holding onto a 553-vote lead over two-term Democratic incumbent Thomas Suozzi.
Incumbent county comptroller Howard Weitzman, also a two-term Democrat, was trailing Republican challenger George Maragos by 946 votes.
