Mangano's new chief deputy? His old intern

County executive-elect Edward Mangano made his first key appointment Wednesday, naming Republican Assemb. Rob Walker as his new chief deputy.

Walker, who represents Nassau's 15th Assembly District, was Mangano's campaign manager in the Nassau county executive race. Walker once worked for Mangano as a summer intern.
