Edward Mangano started his first official day as Nassau County executive-elect at 3:30 a.m. And that was after going to bed a little after midnight.
But it wasn't anything unusual for Mangano, who says he routinely subsists on three or four hours' sleep. "That was a good sleep," he said Wednesday, referring to his 3 ½ hours of rest. "We don't sleep. This is the burn-the-midnight-oil crew."
