The owner of a liquor store in Massapequa was arrested Saturday night and charged with selling alcohol to a minor during a sting operation, Nassau County police said.

Ramnarine Ganesh, 55, of South Ozone Park, who owns Ivan and Sons Liquor Store at 1310 Hicksville Rd., sold a bottle of vodka to a minor at 8:47 p.m., police said.

Police were conducting a Project 21 initiative in which they sent an underage agent to about 10 locations in the Bellmore, Wantagh and Massapequa areas to try to purchase alcohol.
