Nassau County Explorers take home hardware

A volunteer program for youth interested in law enforcement run by the Nassau County police department racked up a record 13 awards at a recent national competition of about 30,000 participants. The Nassau County Law Enforcement Exploring program, which is funded through a combination of fundraising and the department's Community Affairs unit, trains young people from ages 14 to 21 in police procedure.
